My flying lesson
I am working very seriously on my flying so I went to the airfield yesterday to continue my lessons. When we arrived, the plane was waiting in the parking lot.
The first thing we had to do, was prepare the plane for our flight. Doesn't papa look serious here? I started by relaxing on the balcony for a while, while Papa ran around looking for the keys.
Next, it was the turn of putting the plane in position, which I delegated to Papa. After all, he should do something as well. I went and stood on the balcony and instructed him to do the right thing.
Next we had to fuel the plane. So we went to fetch the fuel bowser. I pumped the fuel into the plane.
And then Papa started checking if there was enough fuel in the tank while I drove the bowser away, though not very far because it was switched off.
When Papa checked the fuel gauge, the plane did not have enough. So then he decided to do the high-tech way of filling. Look how he does it, compared to me.
While he was doing all that, I decided that I wanted to dance around for a bit before the flight. It can be tiring, flying the plane.
And then we had to go to put the bowser away. So here I am, helping Papa drive it away.
And then I decided to fuel myself with some water and do the pre-flight checks. All logos in place and so we were ready to go.
And here is my bird ready and waiting to take off. And so am I.After all, the pilot has to look good.
And here we are taking off and in the air. Did you notice the jaunty angle that I fly it at.
Hurrah, we are back after our flight. It was a very still evening and so the flight was very smooth though I did feel funny in the stomach when the plane turned too sharply.
Anyway, you can see who looks cool as a cucumber after the flight and who looks tired.
I really truly enjoyed my evening flying. Hope you can join me some time, especially after I have got my licence. It is only eight and a bit years away. Meanwhile, I leave you with this picture which will show you how I felt after the flight.

My orange kurta goes to Hurley on this fine day
These days I go for a walk everyday, and I wear all these lovely kurtas that Masi has sent me so today I decided to take my orange kurta over to Hurley.
Hurley is about 4 miles away and is very pretty. Look at this old house.
Then we walked to the other side of the river and up to the lock.
There I saw a boat waiting to get across the lock. Look at them go down in the lock.
When I came back home, I harvested some cress that I had grown and made some sandwiches. Sorry no pictures this time but I was very hungry and so forgot to take a photo. After that, mummy said I could play in the garden so here I am enjoying myself in the garden.
By the way, for the first time, thanks to me, my parents have somewhere proper to sit in the garden. The other day, we went to the shops and I bought this lovely bench, which we now use to sit on.
Oh, by the way, I also chose the cushion which mummy likes very much but she always tells me to bring it in when it rains. Do you like it?
So I have had a very busy day blogging and playing. What have you been up to?
My very first woodwork project
Recently it was raining heavily and I was very bored because there was nothing to do. Mummy suggested that the men go to the shed and get some nice work done. This is exactly what we did and look what we came up with.
This is my pencil case which I helped build and then also varnish. Do you like it?
Cat on a hot glass roof
Just as an aside, here is what happened a few days ago.
Meet Merlin, who used to live next door but has now moved to Henley because the people he keeps in his house, had to move.
Since it was a nice bright day, he decided to sun himself on our conservatory roof. Even when we tried to shift him, he just looked at us very bored and sat there enjoying himself.
We left him alone after that. When he had enjoyed himself, he just sauntered off.
Good luck, Merlin, in your new house in the new town.
My sister sent me Rakhis on Rakshabandhan day
Very early on this month, it was the festival of Rakhi. I have a little sister who lives in India and is really lovely. Her name is Meethi which means sweet and she is super sweet. Here she is doing what she does best, being sweet.
Here are all four rakhis she sent me.
Since Meethi could not come to do my rakhi, mummy tied them to me. Here she is, sitting with me.
We started with my favourite rakhi, which had Ganeshji on it. He is my best friend so I loved this one the best.
Meethi also sent me a tikka to put on my forehead and some sugar for the sweet. Here I am enjoying it.
After that, we tied all the other rakhis. Aren't they gorgeous?
Thank you Meethi Behna. I love you.
Dadima Visited Us
Earlier this month, my Dadima came to see me all the way from Exeter. It was a very long train journey. We did a lot of things that day. First of all, we went to the cinema to watch a film.
We shared some popcorn and really enjoyed the film. My favourite character was Sid.
After the film, we went to the park where there was a huge screen showing Olympic events.
Dadima and I sat down to enjoy the games for a while.
And here I am with the Olympic mascot. Isn't it ugly?
After that, we went to have pizza. We could not finish it so we took it home to have it for dinner as well. I really like pizza so that was a super day for me. Aaah pepperoni!!
We did some shopping and then we went to have a coffee and cake. I had a man to eat and drink a cold drink. Here we are enjoying together.
And suddenly it was time for Dadima to catch her train. After she left, we had to wait to get back home so we went to another park and mummy locked me inside the cage because she said I was behaving like a monkey.
I had a very very nice day. Thank you very much,Dadima, for coming over to see me from so far.
Oh, did I tell you, Dadima brought me a t-shirt which was lovely but I could not wear it because it had some green colour in it. So she kindly took it back and then I got even luckier because I got two in place of one. They are both fabulous and I am saving them for some special day.
Cakes from long ago
Hi All
Yesterday we were looking at some old photos and I saw that I had not shared some of my very special creation with anyone.
This is a Norwegian dessert that I made when the first strawberries came out.
Now this is another of the strawberry creation with all my produce from the garden.
Guess who baked it?????
I can assure you it was delicious!!!!!! Can you tell by looking at it?
And finally, here I am, enjoying a cake that disappeared all too soon. Do you think it tasted nice?
