Earning my dinner

Papa said I should start doing jobs around the house otherwise I wouldn't get any dinner. He's really mean.

I didn't mind too much but Papa made me cut all the daisies and buttercups too. So I rescued them when he wasn't looking and replanted them afterwards.

Don't they look good?

Building my new railway carriage

Today it was all rainy so I helped Papa build a new carriage for my railway. It was really difficult so I needed to help him a lot.
First I had to sand down all the wood Papa had "found" in a skip in the village.

Papa let me use his power sander, it made my hand shake and lots of dust.
Then I fixed all the couplings and other bits on.

It took all day and we both needed baths afterwards because we got covered in sawdust.
It's nearly finished now.

I tested it in the shed because it didn't stop raining all day. Next week I'll help Papa fit the brakes and then I can drive it on the track in the garden.

Do you like it?

It is my very first recipe that I cooked as well

Hi all

Here I am, after a long absence. I did think I would post something in the half term but I was very unwell and did not do very much. Today I went to a party and had a good time and when I came back, I wanted to create a new recipe and here it is. I also got my mummy to cook it and here it is, my very first recipe.

Tomato and Parsley with Roti

First, you have to crush some garlic with a green chilli. Now add some oil to the pan and cook them for a minute. Now mix tomato and parsley and cook them together and also add lemon juice. Now, you have to cook and also add teeny weenie bit of masala. And then, you leave that to cook for 15-20 minutes. Then you really have to add some salt to it. Stir well and you finish the cooking.

Make some rotis. First you need to get some dough and then roll it out and add some ghee and also add some spices inside. Cook on low heat.

Now you have to add some ghee or butter and also with it, you have to get some vegetables from the fridge and if you like, you can also have some yoghurt. And then if you like it, you can cook it another day.

So please let me know how did you like it.

Back to the grind

Hi guys
Hope you have had a lot of food and drink over the holidays. I certainly did but of course, it is that time again and I am off to school today, with rain pouring down. I have my new shoes and they are so easy to wear. And can I tell you, today I had my breakfast on my own. Of course, that way, I could leave most of it on the plate, is another matter.
So what are you guys doing today? Whatever you do, be good!!!!!!!

Happy Holidays

Hi everyone
I was missing for a few weeks but the reason for that was that I was not very well, and then I passed the flu on to my parents who then gave it back to me. We all needed to be better because this is a very special time of the year for all of us, especially me because it is my mini birthday as well as Christmas.
You ask mini, but what happened was that my birthday was getting lost in the Christmas celebration so my mummy decided to give me a big birthday in May when the weather is better and both of us celebrate our birthdays together. Of course, this means that I get to have a party with all my friends as well as my mummy.
Because it was a very cold day, I did not do very much but I wanted to go and share some food with the duckies who are very cold and very hungry at this time of the year, that is precisely what I ended up doing. So here are some pictures from my birthday; hope you like them.

Of course, after my mini birthday, came Christmas. I left some biscuits and some cognac for Father Christmas on Christmas eve and went to bed. On the Christmas morning, I wanted to come down quickly but my cruel parents kept me in bed for a long time.
When I came down, I went to check in the front room and guess what, Father Christmas had been the night before. He had left me all the presents I had asked for and not only eaten all the biscuits but also taken the bottle of cognac with him.
He left me a letter, saying how much he liked all the things I had done this year and that was why he was giving me all the presents. He also asked me to be good again so that next year, I can get all my presents as well.

Then I went to the other room and there were lot many more presents under the tree from my parents, my dadima and my masi and uncle Danny. I loved them all and I thank you all for all my lovely presents.

Fancy a look at some of my special toys? Here are some of the pictures:

Because it was a white Christmas, even though I was not well, I was allowed to go out and play in the snow for a short while. Here is what I made all on my own.
