What I get up to in my free time

Hi my faithful followers
Here I am to tell you about my favourite things to do when I am free. Of course, my papa loves doing man things like building models and toys. Last week, my mummy was away for five days and I had loads of time to eat junk food and make models. How about this one? Do you know it really goes and can carry lots of cars as well.

But then my mummy loves cooking and I love working with her as well. I can cook quite a few things. How about my smiley face paratha? I love having it, especially with Kadi. I got all the herbs from the garden to make the face. If you fancy one, you can always come to my house and we can rustle one up for you as well. So would you like one?

I love you all; take care, stay warm and be good.

Halloween and Diwali

Hi my beloved readers

First of all, let me start by wishing you all the very best for Diwali and New Year. Be happy and run around a lot this year. I hope you get a lot of toys this year.

I have been busy and was waiting to tell you about all the things I did. First, the half term. There was a lot of rain and so I could not really go anywhere. But what I did do was, some craft projects. So I made an apple balloon.

Then I made a caterpillar.

And then I decided to let my imagination run wild and came up with this installation. My mummy laughed but I think it was very special. Don't know why she insisted that I put everything away; it destroyed my masterpiece and I was not very happy. But at least, I have the pictures for eternity.

Or how about this decoration I did on my car. I wanted to post this but mummy was not keen. I wonder why.

And now on to Halloween. This was my first time to go trick or treat. Also I went to see the Pumpkin World near my house where I chose the biggest pumpkin to bring back. My papa made me carry it but I just dropped it. Papa can be cruel sometimes and then he laughed as well. Want to see my pumpkin? Here it is.

And here it is, outside to spook everyone. Doesn't it look scary? I gave all the ideas for the design so that papa could carve it.

On the subject of pumpkin, well, don't buy the biggest pumpkin you see on display. I did and now I have had various soups, curries, rice dishes; pumpkin boiled, roasted, fried, curried and do you know what, there is still so much in the fridge and the freezer, I wonder what else would be unleashed on me.

Want to see my true face? Here I am.

Aren't I gorgeous? Mummy always calls me that.

But now to the real star of the post. DIWALI!!! I thought Diwali was wonderful but for some reason, my papa does not like it and my mummy was running around, being totally silly. She just made me and papa do piles and piles of work; she would not let me play after school in the adventure playground; she made me cook piles of food.

I was anxiously waiting for Ganesh ji and his mummy and when I came back from school on Friday, He was there, hiding under a red scarf with his mummy. I was so so so happy on seeing him. We then did lots more cooking and then we went to do our Diwali Pooja. We bathed Ganesh ji and his mummy and then we gave them roses and rice and tikka and drink and food. I think Ganesh ji liked it. My mummy asked what sweet would Ganeshji like because I am his friend and I know about these things a lot. So I told her she had to make laddoos. Those are the yellow sweet balls that he loves. And then she asked me if we should make Gulab jamun or Jalebi. Of course, I said both because you never know what Ma Lakshmi would prefer, so my mummy did end up making both.

Here is a close up of my friend Ganesh ji. Doesn't he look gorgeous after his bath with milk, yoghurt, honey, ghee and water?

And then we could not decide which lamp to light, so guess what we did; we did both.

And then we did something I really, truly enjoyed and it was fireworks. Here are some you might want to see.

Some of the fireworks flew in the sky so there is no picture but you can see how high they went because there I am, tracking their progress. Thank God it did not rain today because yesterday we could not do many because there was so much water coming down. We could not even light the candles properly outside.

On that subject, my little brother and sister also enjoyed their Diwali in India and they looked gorgeous too. What do you think?

And I must show off my little sister posing. We absolutely adore her and she is our little princess.

Wonder what she is thinking about but in the picture below, there is, beaming. I wish you all the same happiness today and all this year.

Have loads of fun and come back soon.
