Amersham and Chesham

Last Sunday, we went to see Chesham. I was looking forward to going through it but it was all very quiet and not very clean.
And then we got into the centre of the town and boy, was I happy that we had loads of bread. There was this really lovely goose who we hand fed, while her friend was very grumpy.
We then went to a cafe and tried to order some food but they did not have a veggie burger which is all I wanted so we left there and went over to Amersham, where I found a lovely cafe and I had my veggie burger while Papa had some fish. After the meal, mummy ordered me one of these. Wow, it was the most garish, lurid and delicious thing ever. I loved it.
After our meal, of course, I had a stitch so we had to take it easy. This is how I felt.
We then had a little walk and I had to rest beside a beauty called Alfa Brera, which made me feel very good.
We then went to the tube station which was quite busy for a Sunday afternoon.
I had a very nice time. What did you do?

Visit to Balaji and a big surprise

We went to see Balaji in Birmingham last week and it was a very special day. We arrived early in the morning and went around all the temples. Then when we came out, we had our usual photo. We both dressed in Indian clothes specially for the temple.
Then mummy went back to the temple and I went to the pond to see Vishnu ji. Isn't this a lovely pond?
After that, we started back but the weather was very bad and I could not have a picnic in the park as we always do in the summer. Then Papa drove to a place called Evesham and we went into a car park and there waited a very big surprise for me.
Yes, it was a toy train which was waiting at the platform. Only thing was it was raining very heavily by then and the carriage was open. So the people running the trains very kindly brought out an old carriage which was fully covered and we got in.
Can you tell that Papa and I were very happy to be on the train?
And here is the driver of the train rotating the engine.
Just to give you an idea, this was what the weather was like. Here I am shivering but being brave.
And this is me leaving the station after the downpour had subsided. After all, the car was 50 metres away.
But then we beat the weather by just driving fast and ended up on the other side of the valley where you can see it was nice and bright. We had a picnic which was lovely because I was very hungry.
And here is a photo that Mummy took because she wanted me to pose by the side of the car. She really likes this one, do you?
And here are our tickets from the trip.

Cliveden

I have been missing again for a while but then I have been very busy. Because there is only one week left before I go back to school, I am trying to fit in everything I wanted to do this summer. Recently my friend Arjun came to visit me and we went to Cliveden, which is near our house. First we went to the Japanese garden where we fed the ducks and all the koi carps.
Then we went into the big maze and tried to get in to the centre. It took us a very long time and there were many people lost within the maze. But eventually we got there and look, we are sitting on the bench in the middle of the maze.
Next we went to the big fountain which was gifted by the Rockefeller family. Is n't it huge?
Then we went to the house and these are the formal gardens in front of the house. They are really big and you can see Maidenhead in the background. Do you like them?
Then we walked through the forest area. It was cool and dark and very steep and I ran down the slope to get to the bottom first.
I have always wanted to go to the grotto at the House and this time, Papa took us there but once there, I found it tiny but here it is. Hope you like it.
Then we went back to the Oriental Gardens. Can you see the pagoda in the background?
We took a short break and had a little picnic and then we went to see the blacksmith shop.
Last of all, we went and saw the old fire tenders. We had such a lovely day. Thankyou, Arjun for coming with me for the picnic. What do you think?
